The race is on to be the next Harry Kane heir after Spurs' summer transfer business
Who will be Spurs' next great hope?
Trying to follow in the footsteps of Tottenham Hotspur's greatest goalscorer in coming through the club's youth set-up to become one of the Premier League's best is as hard a challenge as they come.
Many young strikers have come through the system at Spurs with dreams of tasting even a slice of what Harry Kane has worked towards over the years as England captain and now Bayern Munich front man.
Kane was a rare gem for Tottenham and also in Premier League terms. If you look across the English top flight, you'll struggle to find academy products who have currently become their club's main striker.
Marcus Rashford is probably the best you'll find, even if he's played out wide as much as he has centrally. Eddie Nketiah came through Arsenal's academy but has not been able to become their main man up top.
Brighton's 19-year-old Evan Ferguson arrived from Bohemians three years ago into their academy so just about counts, although he wasn't starting every game at his age last season before a campaign-ending ankle injury. Everton's Dominic Calvert-Lewin arrived straight into their first team at the age of 19 so we can't count him either.
That shows you just how rare it is for a homegrown talent to breakthrough and then remain a star at their own club. Plenty of expensive striker signings don't work, let alone hoping that an academy product goes all the way.
