The £12.5million arrival of 21-year-old Czech goalkeeping talent Antonin Kinsky will provide something that Tottenham have not had in a long time.
For Spurs have often had a clear, well-established number one goalkeeper and those supporting them have been clear back-ups rather than genuine challengers for the top spot between the sticks.
Brandon Austin is a great example of that problem at Tottenham. The 26-year-old has been at the north London club for more than a decade, yet it took until the first week of 2025 and an injury and illness crisis for him to finally get his chance. Guess what? After all of that wait he was actually very good.
So that presents the likelihood that Spurs will be in a very strong position when it comes to their goalkeeping options.
